A BNP test is recommended for moms with High blood pressure, Preeclampsia, Multiple births, Heart murmur, Hyperemesis gravidarum, Fertility treatments, or a Family history of heart disease.
This is a life saving 25-minute service:
1. Mom is greeted by the FNP & Doula
2. Mom is asked for basic information and vitals will be checked
3. Mom will be given a PPCM screening questioner
4. FNP will order a blood draw after a physical examination
5. The phlebotomist will take a quick sample and have it shipped to the lab. (24hrs to 1-week wait)
